My second Butterfly

Well again have been neglecting my blog but there just doesn't seem like enough hours in the day
I am busy with my crafts and useual day to day things
Nothing new

the start of my Quilt

Here is a quilt square I stitched for the beginning of my new quilt --my Stiching friends are also contributing squares
the binding around the quilt squares is the fabric in the background and the backing will be the bright green in the fabric
I will also use the green in the front-- I see i missed a bit of pink in the square --off to finish that now

Surprise Surprise I have a finish

Under pressure I finally finished the sock monkey
I still need to tweek the pattern a bit but not bad for a first
It has been another whirl wind month but I am not free of committments as far as volunteerings goes to till the fall -- Bowling is also finished till September
Now if we could get some summer weather all would be well with the world
My grandaughter Brooklyn became a TEENAGER on the 25th of this month -man seems like she was just a babe in arms
not much new here - I am working on a quilt for myself and a few of my dear friends are making brushstroke butterflies for me -- am on the hunt for finishing fabric now

the guages are 2 1/2 feet out so now everyone on the assiniboine river have to raise their dikes more than 21/2 feet before May 14th

Just got back April 25th from a great trip to Mazatlan
it was 90 everyday and we had a blast --even got to watch the hockey games --- dod a lot of siteseeing and we took over 1000 pictures I need to weed through
Have a wips I am trying to finish and will post a pic of my afghan I hope later

APRIL 2ND --- ANOTHER MONTH GONE BY

The stitching is still on going !! rotating everything now and always see something else I want to start !!
Did send a couple of evenings sewing in some ends on a few afghans that I can show

I hope this lasts -- I have been working on the lighthouse -- the border only --- but have become addicted to these cute snowpeople

March 21 was the 1st day of Spring when i went to school

We are in the middle of a winter snow storm warning !!!!
I have a finish --- well the stitching is finished -I am not sure how I will complete it

I was in Selkirk for the weekend -Actually just arrived home 1/2 hour ago
I do have another wip as wifi was on and off in Selkirk (which kept me away from the computer LOL )
Have a busy week coming up so will post it now and maybe have a finish by the weekend

Just got home this am from 4 days in Selkirk and have a busy week ahead of me so will post a bit today
I alsmost had a finish this weekend as the wifi was down but low and behold it is still a WIP (with soooo much white )

Am busy looking for fabric to finish this !!! not sure what size it will be or if I will mak a couple of separate runner type hanging

Happy Thursdaay FEB 10th

I am going to try and post my pics for my Snowman quilt today
Today is a stay at home day for me so I am puttering

wow february 8th -- have neglected the blog for a while

I am still working on the lighthouse wip but am waiting for Dmc 932
In the meantime I have started some embroidered Quilt blocks !!
I have made a few pairs of slippers ,crocheted some dishcloths and towel toppers

wow 5 days have gone by

Have had a busy five days
Lost my goods shoes
Got locked in THE BAY after closing --Sheesh I should be able to live the week over --it was just like being in a movie
I did get my shoes back though ---that made up for it
Another week added to my WIP Lighthouse
I will post a pic after the weekend

WE are having a heatwave today

It is a balmy -13C in Winnipeg today --- warmer than toe minus 40 some it has been !!
Spent the morning working on my Wip and will knit some slippers this afternoon
